These glass parts are available in clear glass or frosted glass. Clear glass makes our rusty pots very elegant. They glow beautifully in bright light as you easily illuminate the vase. If you are rather interested in a more down-to-earth feeling, our pot saucer in Acacia wood with simple clean lines is an attractive alternative. These saucers come in several sizes and fit all our round pots, including Bonnie. You may use the pot saucers as serving trays. That since Acacia wood is a type of wood that you often use for cutting boards.
All our saucers have the Cortenfactory’s graphic logo engraved on the back.
Corten steel is a durable and exclusive material that achieves a beautiful and deep reddish-brown color of weather and wind. The steel gets a down-to-earth and vibrant color that suits our Corten pots. Corten is very expressive when you mix it with greenery, modern environments and material choices such as glass and concrete. The rust layer that forms becomes self-protective for the steel, adheres to the metal surface and prevents moisture from penetrating. The insulating patina resists corrosion, requires no painting or weather insulation, nor does it affect structural strength. The oxidation process of the steel becomes noticeable already after 6 months of outdoor use. Naturally, it takes about 2 years for the steel to achieve an evenly roasted surface if you do not speed up the process. We send the Corten pots with a nice rusty surface.
You can avoid rust debris from your flower pots by spraying varnish on these rusty pots for cheap. Another option is to brush on a plant-based candle wax on your rusty pots. You can use wax from soy, coconut or rapeseed. You can also put a plastic pot dish inside your pots on feet, which you then place an inner plastic pot on. Excess water is also collected inside the pot at the same time as the pot tray protects the outside. If you don’t want a saucer, you can put three pennies under your rusty pots so you create a small distance between them.
