Planter with drain from the Trendsetter series is available in different sizes and formats. These unique plant pots are durable as modern planter outdoors as well as a rectangular indoor planter. Choose between black planters or with durable Corten surface that only gets more beautiful as years go by.
These pots stand up to our harsh winters and have room for insulation which is nicely hidden with our minimalistic decorative frame. A planter with drain from the Trendsetter series is also available with self-watering system in stainless steel. With this modern planter, durable both indoors and outdoors all year around, you may for example place your passion fruit indoors during winter and move it outdoors during summer.
Complete, you get unique plant pots with insulation, illumination from the inside without visible cables and with self-watering system. The design of our planter with drain is easy to update. You just add our laser cut decorative frames. Trellises are also available to match your planter with drain even if you prefer black planters.

Our planter with drain is made of thick maintenance-free Corten and has a folded-in upper edge. These unique plant pots have a hole in the bottom for good drainage as well as the possibility of internal wiring to illuminate plants from inside of the planter with drain. This is very beautiful if you for example plant a tree or grass in this modern planter.
We can also provide planter without hole in the bottom if you want to use it as a rectangular indoor planter. Imagine these unique plant pots with lighting during evening where the plants reflect against a nice rusty laser cut designer frame. Illuminating your outdoor space with black planters creates a beautiful scene when you add green plants on your patio.

We recommend using the steel “pucks” that we send with our modern planter, which are 1.5 cm high to create distance between ground/floor. There is also a variant with higher legs for our smallest our smallest pots. Perfect for dividing different surfaces or creating lawns for, for example, a patio or an outdoor dining area. If you want taller legs for other pots, we have Corten pipes in stock in other sizes for your planter with drain.
Decorative frame that covers & protects insulation
This unique planter has room for insulation. This is to give plants a chance to survive the winter and at the same time avoid too much heat during the summer. The XPS 300 is preferably used, which can be purchased in regular hardware stores. To hide the insulation, you thread our decorative frame over your black planters. It not only provides a stylish interior detail, but also covers and protects your insulation. We will continuously develop new frames so that you can easily update the design of any rectangular indoor planter as well as outdoor modern planter. This via various laser-cut patterns and trellises that match the planter with drain. With this, we want to create unique plant pots that will last for many years.
A inner pot with self-watering system is available as an option. These parts are made of 1.5 mm thick and exclusive stainless steel, 316 L. This system is for those who want to be able to relax when they go on vacation and make it easier to manage plants that require a lot of moisture to remain in your planter with drain.
Corten steel contains copper, chromium, manganese and nickel, which makes this a relatively expensive and at the same time durable material. When you expose Corten to weather and wind it oxidize. A thick layer of rust shows which protect your modern planter. The steel goes from having a black metallic color to achieve a beautiful rusty surface.
The oxidation process of the steel is visible already after 6 months outdoors. It takes about 2 years for the steel to achieve an evenly rusty surface if you don’t speed the process by brushing on salt water to this planter with drain. Its rusty surface creates a warm environment that is perfect both indoors and outdoors. If you worry about rust stains from a flower box, you can spray matt clear lacquer on the rusty Corten to avoid rust residue.
316 L stainless steel is the second most used steel after 304. 316 has more nickel than 304, which provides higher durability and can handle acid better.
In general, it can be said that the stainless steel 304 is a good standard choice for long durability. This is if you do not place this rectangular indoor planter / planter with drain near water or more exposed environments. In these cases, 316 L is more durable even though it is about 30% more expensive than 304.
